I keep this stuff in my med kit and my range bag along with pressure bandages. Its not cheap but it might save the day.

Good videos I didn't know quickclot no longer produced heat. I've been menaing to pick some up for my organization's chainsaw unit.
To me the celox technique looks more simple. Also, another minor point with the gauze would be the danger of dragging all kinds of debris into the wound while packing. If this is a SHTF then sterile/aseptic technique become more important. |
